Imagine the bazaars of ancient Arabia with the Evil Saladin, the three wishes of the omnipotent Genie, the wisecracks of Dame Dollop and the swashbuckling tomboy Tommy.
Set against the backdrop of the 3rd Crusades with Richard the Lionheart, you can also expect to see camels, flying carpets, knockabout henchmen, retired assassins and the master of disguise, Hasan the Bandit!
All of these elements and more come together to produce a spectacle of fun, laughter, song and dance for the whole family to enjoy, a real antidote to the post-Christmas blues!
Following on from last year’s commercial and critical acclaimed success, ‘Dick Whittington’, Denise Garland has once again stepped up to direct. This years’ production is ‘Arabian Knights’ written by Richard Lloyd, author of our 2005/2006 season production ‘The Three Musketeers’ which along with ‘Breezeblock Park’ by Willy Russell was winner of the CCTA Adjudicators award.
Jane Nugent, director of ‘Breezeblock Park’, has joined forces with Denise to co-direct bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and sharp eye for detail.
Add to this the musical ear of our Chairperson Fiona Burdsall as Musical Director and trained dancer Sammi Whiteside as Choreographer and we have a production that will remain in your memory long into your summer holidays!
